In this fast-moving adaptation, the writer follows the events of Alice’s dream from the time she first meets the
Royal House of Hearts, to the concluding chaotic trial scene. We meet most of the Wonderland characters - The Queen and King
of Hearts, the infamous Knave of Hearts, the Duchess, her Cook, the Mad Hatter, March Hare, Mock Turtle, Gryphon, Cheshire
Cat, and many more. The cast is made up from a mix of adults and children, with the Royal House of Hearts at the centre of
the action. There is an original score with several songs, including several solos. First performed in Stratford-upon-Avon at Easter 2005 Directed by Wilson Roberts "A well thought out family show, having all the ingedients
to make it a success - packed with songs and superb effects." Stratford Herald
Elves ! The Musical by Reg Mitchell
Tinselbottom town is about to become the location for a new TV serial. But without a fast-food joint, it’s unlikely
to be acceptable to TV mogul, Hiram B Goodfellow. The shop of the local shoemaker, Wilfred Vogue, is in the ideal position
and the landlord, Sir Jasper, always on the make, cooks up a plan to get the Vogues out! But he reckons without the elves
and fairies - who decide otherwise. A fast moving musical adaptation of Grimm’s famous story is given a new twist in this musical version of the story
written for the whole family. With fifteen foot-tapping new songs and dances, this is a most enjoyable musical. First performed in Stratford-upon-Avon in 2004 Directed by Wilson Roberts "family entertainment at its best ... a huge hit." "a beautifully innocent romp ... wonderful show." Princess Sam's Party by June Maidens Music & Lyrics by Mark Shepherd Princess Sam is a girl of our time, with a mind of her own, certainly not prepared to submit to the matrimonial plans laid
for her by her parents, the reigning monarchs of Merryvale, King Kevin and Queen Julie. She copes with their plans in her
own inimitable way and counters the machinations of the hard-line Prime Minister, Madeleine Newcombe and her corrupt spinman
Paul Beethovan, who are working to sweep away the monarchy and declare Merryvale a republic ... with a president already elected!
All fathers of daughters will identify with King Kevin as he sings his lament to Daddys Little Girl. And Princess Sams poignant
little song Second Best Princess, which she sings to her late sister Paula, the one groomed for stardom, will bring a tear
to the eye of even the most hardened theatre-goer. Princess Sams Party West Midlands Arts - Awards for All Lottery - NW Area Community Education Council |
